About Mdgirl51

Jeff was diagnosed with young-on-set Parkinson's Disease in 2004 at the age of 39. He did very well for five years but then was forced to retire from law enforcement due to the pd symptoms becoming worse. He is now in the process and workup of the deep brain stimulation. He does not have tremors, just very stiff and rigid. He walks with a tiny shuffle, sometimes requiring a cane. He can no longer roll over in bed and has very bad slurred speech. We are hoping for good results from DBS but know it's going to be a very long haul. Sometimes life just isn't fair but we try to remain positive ...
