About jermo

I live alone. I have been a widower for many years. I can live by myself with OPCA. And I will. I live in the Oregon mountains where being self sufficient is the way of life. This is just another mountain to climb. My diagnosis is Olivopontocerebellar Atrophy (OPCA) You can email me at jerrymohler@yahoo.com. I would enjoy hearing your story. Jerry

More About jermo

I am a country boy. I grew up in the  Oregon, far from towns and schools. I came from a poor family who had enough to eat, but little in the way of luxuries. I earned at a early age how to take care of myself. What I did not learn about survival as a farm boy, the Marines later taught me.

When I was married and raising my family we continued to live on a small farm. We always raised a garden, and chickens, goats, and an assortment of animals. The country life continued to be my life, even though I worked as an accountant in the city.

I now live in a small town, away from people, traffic and the politics of crowded cities.

Today I love to be in the mountains. I like fishing, hiking, or just exploring areas I have not been. In my younger life I climbed all the mountains in the northwest, and was a runner.

Today my condition prevents me from doing many of the things I formerly did. However, I still mange to get outdoors, and enjoy life.
