I am 51, married 24 years with 23 year old daughter and 18 year old son. My diagnoses with ALS was September 18th, 2008. First onset in my speech around March/April and shortly after my left leg and left arm. I still continue to degress and I am now a speechless quadriplegic. Though I still try to stay mentally positive with regard to everything in my life, I now feel very vulnerable, mainly at night. I would like to know how other PALS like me handle it.
