Hi, My medical problems all started in March 1990...At that time the doctor found a lump in my breast. Of course surgery was scheduled and removed the lump.. the result was NOT breast cancer, but angio sarcoma a rare type cancer that just happened to be in the breast.. The location was a life saver...the doctors could remove enough surronding tissue to hopefully get all cancer cells-maybe! The doctors thought for sure the cancer had spread, but after more test it was determined that multiple sclerosis had got a grip on me........with my system being so weak from cancer treatments, the MS was really taking me down.....Months later I was being pushed around in a wheelchair. My strength and balance really went fast, or rather I NEVER gained my strength back from the cancer treatments. The speciality doctors said it would be YEARS before the CANCER drugs would clear out of my system enough for me to take MS treatments....By that time my children had grown into teens, so the girls and my husband said NO to MS treatments. They had seen me suffer thru the cancer treatments, so THEY thought NO MORE CHEMICALS. So, I have had nothing! Except-methothrexate (?), which I took so long that it almost killed me, before we realized it! That happened in Nov 2001. Now, I'm holding my own. Still in an electric-wheelchair, but medical problems are minor everyday issues, for people like us that is!!!
