A 24 YR OLD'S STORY:
NEGATIVE to POSITIVE to AIDS in 8 MONTHS
I was stunned with being dx positive during Sept 07. I was only 24. I wasn't one to engage in risky behavior and had just tested negative four months prior. The following months my well-being rapidly deteriorated both on and off paper with no intervention from my IFD. Fatigue escalated to the extent that showering and cooking became a challenge.
Quickly I found a new IFD. He est'd I had progressed to AIDS and started HAART during Jan 08. My immune system since has strengthened and continues to do so today.
