I have had trouble with my back off and legs on for years, but about a year or so ago it started hurting more. Then in Oct last year, 2011 it got even more severe. I have been to several doctors about it. Neurologist, General and Neurosurgeon. I've had a series of 2 cordisone injections, but they were not helping the pain. I am on Hydrocodone for the pain and use, Super Strength Blue Emu pain cream , and lots of ice packs. I can't walk very good and long. Even standing for a very short time is excruciating as well as getting out of bed hurts my legs, hips, ankles and I have some tingling in lower legs. My toes on my right foot go numb off and on too.I went for a PT eval and will start therapy 2 days a week to see if that will help.

Herniated Disc

Because of pain in Left leg on pain meds, then testing for pinched nerve. Nothing. MRI nerves in low back pinched L4 &5 herniated discs piniching nerve. Had to cortisone injections. Not helping. NOW WAITING FOR SURGERY 4/27/12

Actually was able to sleep longer this morning and took a Hydrocodone before getting out of bed. All in all even with my back and legs hurting today. It wasn't as bad as it has been.

Back and legs still hurt getting out of bed and I have had cortisone injections 2 times in lower back. Leg pain never leaves completely.
