I was first mildly depressed at about 10 years old. I was 17 when I had my first thoughts of self-harm. Early in college I experienced my first true episode of major depression and was sent home from school for 6 months. When I graduated college things completely collapsed. I went inpatient 8 times in 2 years, during which time I had 2 suicide attempts. I have begun to see a world beyond the limitations of my inner turmoil, finding peace within myself, my world, and with God.
