I grew up on a farm in Arkansas. My father loved to grow crops of different things.  He usually had 4 acres of okra, 4 acres squash, maybe 10 acres of strawberries, and he carried on the familly tradition of making sorgham molasses. I have no bad memories of the experience, just the memories of Daddy taking the crops to be sold and bringing us kids an ice cream or candy bar.
