About Dave in WV
I was very athletic all through school. Began boxing after High School until about 83. I started working road construction in 79 then got a job on a surface coal mine in 81 on the equipment maintenance crew where I was in contact with various petrochemicals daily. I married my high school sweetheart just wks after I was diagnosed. We have two fantastic kids. Daughter born in 87 and son born in 89 only 20mo apart. I was diagnosed in 86 with onset possibly as early as 84. I became vent dependent and got a feeding tube March 93. We continue to be very active despite ALS. Life is an adventure!

Retired coal miner. I was diagnosed locally at first then got second and third opinions at the University of Kentucky and Ohio State University. That silly picture was taken Halloween 03 when we went to a costume party. That's a dual purpose costume. Christopher Reeve or Superman od'd on kryptonite. LoL
