About eman

A RN for 35 yrs,a widow with two adult children; I watched my younger sister struggle, suffer, and champion for years with MS from her bed till her death. A few months following her release to a peace, my husband died unexpectedly. Needless to say my diagnosis came a few months later. A few more bumps in the road of life occurred and will occur. So here I am in this moment for all its worth with whatever I've got. A nice addition to the above, since signing on, I became a first time Grammie to a little girl born 7/18./10 Hooray for pink ,precious, packages in the road of life.

More About eman

In 2003, I was dx quickly, probably because; my first symptom was optic neuritis, strong family hx of MS(my sister died in her 40's, two distant cousins dx.) and my first MRI was positive with lesions on brain and spine. I thought that I had no other symptoms except the optic neuritis. however in hind sight there were other items that I now think was benign MS . I'm a strong advocate for my patient's and others as an RN ,but not for myself. Believe in what you feel ,as you live with it, not the Dr.  Advocate for yourself. As always, do as I say, not as I do.
