I am 64 years old, married for 43 years to Phil. We have two married daughters and 5 grand children, three boys and a two girl. My family and friends know my situation and everyone is very supportive. I was initially very concerned at the speed of this disease. From fully fit in November 07 with no signs of the disease, in eight months, I needed a cane to walk, couldn't lift any heavy objects or open jars or bottles. I was initially diagnosed with two years to live, that was three years ago and although I know I am getting worse slowly, it is slowly and nothing like the pace it started at.
