About Abella26

I try not to let MS define who I am however, I haven't figured out how to do that just yet. I am 29yrs, I've been married to a great guy for almost 6 years. (Dx shortly after our wedding) We welcomed a beautiful baby girl in Dec of 07. Being pg brought on worsing sx that have yet to go away. I work fulltime for the State of NY, I struggle with it but I somehow am doing it. ~ I'm no longer working, I am out on Disability hopefully I can get back ~ I guess thats me.

More About Abella26

Here is an overview of the history of my MS. I was dx in October 2005 by my family physican. I first saw him 6 months prior with symptoms of being off balance, numbness/tingling in my legs and my right leg being really stiff making it hard to walk.  He sent for pt and within weeks my symptoms were gone. When i came back to him with the same sypmtoms again he sent me for an MRI then he suggested a neurologist to see however he was unavailable for months so i agreed to see another doctor in the same practice (mistake #1) This doctor saw my 10+ lesions on my brain MRI but still wanted more testing to be positive that it was really MS. (Mistake #2 - Not getting a second opinion) Almost 3 months after being Dx by my doctor my neurologist was stastified with the testing and confirmed the dx of MS. He sent me for steriods which i had to go to a hospital while it was given to me through IV over the course of 3 hours. ~ Will type more getting tired 4/27/11~
