More About Narpai
I work in the HIV sector as a nurse and am also HIV+.
Am a country lad at heart but have recently moved into the city and enjoy the choices and being near my friends.
Have a great dog who drags me to the beach, a partner who almost keeps me in line (almost) and a job that is on a roller coaster ride of pushing me to higher achievements.
I've joined this website to find out what people are talking about and have a few key issues, especially with some of the meds and how people are putting up with too many side effects, especially when there are choices.
Personally since going on meds my diarhoerra has cleared up, the energy levels are improving and feel I am slowly getting back on top of things.
Working in a clinic that sees a lot of HIV patients it has been a real eye opener to how many high functioning people there are with HIV, others suffering from isolation, depression or/and anxiety. Also how it varies from doctor to doctor which medications they prefer to prescribe and how they sometimes see viral load and CD4 cell counts as more important than Quality of life monitoring.
Still its great to be able to think long term with more confidence ( even though I have had a heart attack and yes I am on Abacavir but have other risk factors).
