I turned 50 and everything fell apart. I was diagnosed with CHF in 2002. In 2004, having gone from 190 lbs to 450 lbs my Dr. gave me 2 months to live. Every time they tried to remove the fluid in my body, I went into Potassium shock. At that time my Dr decided to try a Gastric Bypass which worked. In 2007 I had 2 hernias repaired, After the hernias I was struck with Nesidioblastosis, which is a rare disorder that causes the Pancreas to over produce insulin. In 2009, I underwent a surgery to remove 2/3 of my Pancreas. 2010 brought on the initial symptoms to MSA. In 2011, the mesh inserted to hold in the hernias became infected and a subsequent surgery for removal in 2011. Also in 2011, I was formally diagnosed with MSA. The lesson learned was, don't turn 50.
