About Boo Boo

I'm a happily retired Mail Order Manager... now enjoying being a lady of leisure instead. I'm lucky to live on the edge of the Lake District and used to be a regular fell walker. I have a positive outlook on life and my aim is to maximise the fitness that I have and squeeze as much enjoyment as possible into every single day. I've stopped doing things just to please other people and now become incredibly selfish by pleasing myself! Wish I'd done it years ago!

More About Boo Boo



Meet my son he's 24 & was out in Iraq in 2005... not a good year. His patrol was hit by a road side bomb - thank god they were all relatively unharmed.  I like to think my Dad was watching over him. They were very close. Unfortunately he is now going to be on 12 hr standby for Afghanistan......trying not to think about it.



2007 was a better year - apart from the diagnosis! Played golf at a lot of amazing places, but Turnberry (above) was one of the highlights.

Had a lovely summer evening at Aira Force, Ullswater (Below). The joys of living so close to the Lakes!

Meet Ruby...the latest addition to the family! She's a 2yr old rottie I have adopted from a shelter and already my best mate. She certainly isn't bothered that I can't talk properly, and is currently learning sign language from me!! She certainly keeps me occupied and is great company.
