I was just recently diagnosis in Nov 2011 at the age of 44. I'm married to a wonderful & supportive husband . we have four cats . My hobbies are collecting coca cola memorabilia, going to car shows & cruise nights, hiking , camping and cooking . I'm determined not to let this awful illness beat me.

Who am I? I’m 46 year old female who has been married to her best friend for almost 18 years and together for 22 years. We wanted children but found out we could not have any so we adopted three beautiful cats who are like our kids. We settled down in a small town on the Southside of Syracuse NY. I started experiencing symptoms of Parkinson’s disease in the summer of 2000. Every time I went to my doctor he treated my symptoms individually and never connected the dots until 2010 when my symptoms became aggravated. I was a little bitter at first when I received the initial diagnosis but then I realized that this was a great time to educate those around me. A wonderful time to show others that there is life after Parkinson’s. This disease has taught me not to stress out over thing that aren’t important and to focus truly on those things that matter the most. I still do everything I want it just takes a little longer to accomplish. I love to cook, garden, ride my bike, go hiking, and spend time with my husband showing our restored car at car shows. On my down time I enjoy hanging out with family and friend. I could go on forever but I’m sure there are things you need to get done. I want to give you a glimpse into my life.
