About new_me

I'm 46 yrs old (as of 2011) and I have bipolar disorder. I know I've had it since elementary school, but wasn't diagnosed until 2005. I have 2 children (ages 9 and 15) that live with my ex-husband. Being bipolar (or having bipolar disorder - however you care to look at it) is both a blessing and a curse, but I'm trying to learn to make the best of it regardless. My biggest obstacle is building a support network as I don't have family to rely on (other than my husband) and don't have many friends. Two of my deepest desires are to remain stable and to help others with this disorder.
