50 year old female. Mother of one son who is 21. Diagnosed with FM in 1997. Looking back I have had symptoms since my early teens. Issues with PMS from the onset of menstruation. Total hysterectomy at age 40 due to endometrious. All kinds of muscle and join problems. Trouble sleeping. Depression and anxiety. Still able to work 35 hours a week. Low stress job and a great boss make that possible. By the end of the day I am wiped out and very sore. Try to keep up with the daily chores of cooking and cleaning but have learned to let some stuff go. Hard to do for a Type A personality!
