I suffer from Schizo-affective disorder and i enjoy educating others to prevent stigma from growing.

My name is Anthony. I was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia when i was 15 years old. I was a freshman in high school and from that moment my life will be changed forever. I had to learn to live as a teenager and a teenager with a disturbed mind. Having to battle the common struggles like any kid goes through, i also dealt with voices and hallucinations. One way i coped with the illness was to be open about it, i shouldn't feel ashamed for something that isn't my fault. i also educated others about it by speaking to groups about my experiences, and help promote the prevention of stigma. i take medications such as Clozaril, Pristiq, Lexapro, and Provigil.  I am now planning on going to college next fall and i am praying i can make something of myself. i will continue to follow my treatment and stay mentally healthy.
