Adult-onset bipolar patient with patterns of depression and anxiety. My manic phases tend to be euphoric but not uncontrollably excitable. I have been out of work for almost all of my 15 years of dealing with this disease, and my diagnosis came after some pretty harrowing experiences that tested my will to live and ability to cope with extreme depression. My outlook is good, as I have found a useful combination of meds (Geodon, Lithobid, and Effexor) and I have a supportive and loving family who have stuck with me through the worst and better times. I believe in the possibility of recovery.
