mid september the vomiting started again. more doctors and tests, even a mri. still no answers. was put on an antibiotic which seemed to work. but one week off the antibiotic and the vomiting was back. now into november and went to a very good gi doctor who finally diagnosed me with gastroparesis (a paralyzed stomach). in november i was falling to the right while walking but thought i was just weak since i had lost 15 lbs and all my muscles. the gastro drug stopped the vomiting and i felt great. the leaning to the right went away.
christmas day my neck was stiff and hurting. from then on every week something else went wrong in my body; right arm and hand numb and tingling, double vision, trouble walking. in january 2008, after seeing a neuro doctor had another mri which showed a lesion in the brain stem. placed in hospital with ms diagnosis after lumbar tap confirmed. given steroids 2x a day for 5 days. felt much better in february but by march, left arm and hand useless; back into hospital for more steroids. end of march terrible total body spasms. tegretol has stopped spasms. due to start tysabri mid april.
i have a wonderful husband and daughter. we all work together on our horse farm.
