About Schooled by Life

I generally have a positive outlook on life, I am spiritual by nature and while looking for information and respite from my symptoms, I also look for the hidden blessings.

I have survived a traumatic childhood, alcoholism, death of a parent, a spinal injury, and more all to come out on the other side with an open heart as a Reiki Master-teacher and spiritual counselor. I very much enjoy helping people and found that my experiences have allowed me to relate to others in a unique way.

Jan 2010, I found myself no longer able to work. I never knew how I would feel, and when I felt bad I couldn't very well help another to feel good. I began with the thought of taking some time off and put off going to get a diagnosis (because claiming something can sometimes bring it on stronger.?.). That ultimately didn't work for me and, I decided to embrace and learn as much as I could, so I could make the changes necessary and then move on...

Turns out this part is taking much longer than I expected...

I am grateful that I have the limited resource of a tribal MD, but I think I need more. There is more going on with me and the tests so far are not screaming autoimmune, RA, Lupus, or anything else so we have stuck with the FM diagnosis. AUG: She just added ME/CFS to my record. I would like to the option to rule out Lyme w/ a LLD, but need my resources to improve first.

Now that I have found this and other sites, I am discovering ways to help myself and would like to share and help others when I can.

Advice & Tips: This helped me to get sleepy - it did not help me to stay asleep. No side effects but quit once I read that you should not mix with effexor.
