I was diagnosed in April 2009 with Chiari 1, have had 3 surgeries so far the first here in NJ the second and third were in Wisconsin, the second was a better experience all around. The third was for Degenerative disc disease at C4-C6. I still have lots of problems. And most likely have more surgeries in my future. I am also in the process of publishing a book, about living with Chiari..and my experiences.

I am look okay on the outside, with a smile I can pretty much fool anyone. I live in sever pain everyday. It has effected every inch of my life. I do what I can, which is not much. My life consists of laying on the couch 95% of each day, due to the amount of pressure I have when I sit up.
