My Dad, Kurt Hutchings, was diagnosed with ALS in October 2006. I moved from Portland, OR to Fort Myers, FL in order to support my family. I got married to my amazing husband Nic in November 2008. I never expected to deal with an illness like this and am so thankful to have a loving supportive husband, family and extended family. My Dad passed away on March 5, 2009. He was strong and faithful to the end and was able to be cared for at home and surrounded by family. I miss him and love him.
