About kcj1963

i live in spokane washington, and because of MS i haven't been able to work for the last 5 years.. my last job of 5 yrs i worked for parks and rec at an arboretum. i am still able to do most things, but at a slower pace.. i try to be thankful for what i can do, which using my brain or body causes dizziness and cogfog, i can walk slow for about 10-15 minutes, and can be on my feet for 30 minutes, or sit for an hour or so.. i also try and be greatful for what i have and try to remember that things can always be worse, but sometimes i'm not so optimistic... i'm single with no kids, but enjoy being around them most of the time, but my energy is limited for them... my interests include nature, music, women, humor, and indie film and docs.. when able i casually play guitar, and some of my sounds can be heard at http://maroonbells.bandcamp.com

my symptoms began in '04 at age 40.. depression, dizziness, numbing on the top of my head, then down to my left side ribs and in my left hand.. 7 yrs of being undx.. then finally being dx in dec. 2010... symptoms include dizziness, cogfog, depression, fatigue, weakness, left-sided weakness/numbness, balance issues, bladder urgency, tinnitus, sinusitis, muscle vibrations/spasms, and swallowing difficulty sometimes… i haven't had relapses but have had two pseudo exacerbations brought on by heat 7/2010 and mental stress during a psych eval for medicaid on 9/2013 which feeling much more miserable lasted 6 weeks.. i filed for disability 1/2011 but was denied, i appealed and am waiting for someone else to look at my case, may have to reapply..

i had CCSVI venoplasty 4/12/11, balance, bladder, and cognition was better for a short while.. i did a 12-day water only fast which dramatically helped my depression and vitamin D levels, and improved my senses, weight, and since then my bowels seem to be healthier.. i've been on copaxone since march 2013, it's the least toxic supposedly, can't tell if it's helping.. i try and eat healthy and organic and juice frequently for added nutrients.. i'm lucky to have supportive friends and family, but only people with this disease can really understand..
