More About Pen'sup
Although I got my first symptoms over 4 yrs ago, I'm lucky enough to have slow progression (recently diagnosed as VERY slow )and I'm trying to take full advantage of this time. Mostly I live as much like I always have. No super trips or anything. As of 9/2011 My voice has started to get hoarse and I get out of breath going up stairs which both scare me. Only my right hand is unusable and left hand just starting to drop little things. Left hand still can do almost everything. Biggest set back i s that I can't chop food for cooking so my husband does that. I can still drive regular car but not for long distances any more!!! My muscles in my right arm are atrophied, too. Nothing else except lots of fasciculations! I miss cooking and gardening terribly.
would love to retire but can't afford it because I'd lose my health insurance. I've been given a warning of what is to come which most of people on this site haven't got. Our biggest concerns are our financia future so I keep plugging away at work (For now I can still type and talk!)l
Now on to the good stuff! I'm still able to tent camp which I love but now my husband has to really do most of the work. I still am the organizer. We're soon going to visit grandkids next weekend! Can't wait.
