More About Barrack

I'm 50 yrs old and have dealt E. since '79.  Seizures occur primarily in my sleep and emanate from the right TL.  After years of failed drug combinations Mysoline added to Felbatol in '91 eliminated seizures while awake for 12 yrs.  This control was good enough for me and the laws of the 2 states I lived in to drive.  For most of those yrs I had a great life.  Then primidone(generic Mysoline) lost its effectiveness in '04 and I started having the occasional (1or 2 a yr) seizures while awake.

Seizures have taken a toll over 30 yrs.  The diagnosis of a Neuropsychological Evaluation done in Dec '08 was Cognitive Disorder Secondary to a Medical Condition.  Worse than the fragile concentration and the attention deficit is my episodic memory loss.  My auto-biographical memory is virtually gone.  I have little or no recall of things I did over a yr ago.  Fortunately semantic memories, i.e. things I've learned, are intact.  The current combination of Lamictal and Keppra while slowly tapering off primidone is looking real good.

The way my psychic explains it: The prominence of the inhabiting demon is manifested when it attempts to leave the body.  Drs have devised a system for explaining the varied intensities of the bodies reaction when demons of a different magnitude attempt escape.  They are explained to the infested individual as different seizure types.  Without any recollection of what has occurred the so-called epileptic has nothing to challenge.

I find this site helpful when reading about other peoples battles that absolutely trivialize my case.
