i was 14 when i found out i had kidney problem & my kidney failed when i was 18 i was on dialysis for almost 11 yrs & i was so shocked when i recieved the phone call. i was call for on the saturday before i got it but the kidney wasn't any good so the cancelled it on me but i was called 72hrs later with another one. if wasnt for my family for there support i dont know what i would of done or been right now & i love them all dearly for it. this all new to & would love hear people feed back cause i have alot of questions that i would wanna hear from people like me instead of hearing it from drs.

when i first got sick i didnt know what to expect i went to everything blind not know wat to eat or not eat about fliud gain & everything. a month later it almost killed cause the cather they put in ur chest to start dialysis came out of my chest in my sleep & i lost alot of my blood into my couch & if wasnt for me having to get up i would of died in my sleep. so when i got up i i passed out & my heart stop beating if wasnt for my step father i would died on my kitchen floor. i been though alot before i had my transplant now i can do alot of stuff that i couldnt do before & travel & see the world like i wanna do. i got my kidney problem from a strep infection i got alot of them as a kid but just thought i was a sore throat when it was strep & it attacked my kidneys & i only found out cause of my grandmother passing. my mother took me to the drs cause she thought i was depressed & they noticed my bp was high & alot of protien in my urine so the did a biopsy & found it. 2 months before my 19th birthday my kdneys failed i was always like y me & gave up & lost a lot of things. but since my transplant i have a new out look on life for the better & im hoping it only gets better from here.
