mpatient updated her bio Feb 09, 2013I had surgery 8/26/11. Dr said that it worked!!!! Am trying to get a normal life. Still taking dilantin but no other sz meds. Interesting that depression is gone. I always thought that it was a drug side effect. Anxiety is low as well. Had 3 tiny SP in 2012, less than one second. Am hoping that it will take a very long time for this to get bad, It took 35 years the last time.

- I had surgery 8/27/11, and they said it cured me. Started getting all toxic effects from dilantin. It never worked and just makes me sick. If I take with food, it seems to help block it a bit.

meds, dilantin made me sick

as of 7/12, I am off Dilantin. I started to take myself off it, was making me so sick, I couldn't do anything. Dr put me on Neurontin, i can only do 100mg/day. Had surgery and surgeon told me I'm cured so I will not let them make me sick anymore. Read an article that said I need meds for 2 yrs. Will do that and then stop. Have a dr report from 1994 that says neurontin made me sick then. I will not let drs make me sick anymore. All meds made me sick and didn't work, that is why I had surgery. Good luck to all, take care
