- I would not suggest that people with tendon issues take this medicine. I only took it for a week, but it is know to cause achilles tears/ruptures. It has greatly affected my daily life because I still have considerable pain in that ankle. I also had followup surgery for Haglunds deformity one year later, and that only made the pain worse.
