I missed 1 dose of medications once on 2 different days! I can't say this doesn't happen because it did. I have a set time in which I take my meds. I can excuse the first miss. That was during the weekend. There was a lot of things going on and I was terribly busy. But I just simply forgot to take the second one on Tuesday morning. I dreaded a getting a seizure and sure enough, Wednesday morning when I woke up and got out of bed...Bang! That's how they happen for me. When I wake up. All I do is fall asleep for a few minutes then I awake. It was so bad. I felt fine the rest of the day and was able to eat. This morning (Wed.) was just a repeat of yesterday. Prays they've settled down.

Well I almost made it to the end of the seventh month.
Friday, Jan. 25, I had 3-4 seizures repeatedly?? It was a bad day??
Saturday morning, Jan. 26, 1 seizure.

It was nice being seizure free while all those months. That supplement really helped.

Feb. 02 Morning: 2 seizures.

Here I am at 6 months. Without the supplement and no seizures yet. I feel good. Is hoping...that's all I have to hold on to. 6 months...

5 months. I have been doing good without the supplement. No seizures.

4 months seizure free. The longest I have ever gone is 6 months and that was after my brain surgery. They suddenly started up again just like before. Here I am at 4 months with the aid of the dilantin supplement. Maybe I will see a new year with no seizures.

3 months seizure free with the dilantin supplement at bedtime.

2 months No seizures. emoticon smile I feel good. My mind feels clear and strong. I am happy but I am not going to get excited about this yet.

I am into my fifth month without a seizure. Sometime this month I am not certain of the date my neuro said my dilantin level was too high and he ordered me to stop taking the dilantin supplement. Naturally I did not want to hear this reminding him of how well I was doing but he said not to take it anymore.

Sometimes I get a very slight feeling...as if...but nothing occurs. It's very, very slight. Too slight to describe yet I sense some seizure activity may be trying to occur...but it fades away. No seizures to this day. emoticon smile

On my last visit with my neuro we spoke about my seizures and how they mostly occur in the morning. He thought maybe a little bit more would prevent them. I didn't want to take anymore medicine but he assured me that it would be a very small dose of dilantin only to supplement the one I am already taking. He prescribed to me a child's dose of dilantin to be taken at bedtime. I started taking it July 01.

The dilantin supplement seems to be working. On the average I usually seize 2-4 times a month and here I have gone a whole month without having one seizure. Is not going to get my hopes up though.
