What is Seroquel XR?

Seroquel® XR is the extended release preparation of quetiapine, an atypical antipsychotics. It is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Off label it is used for psychosis in autistic children and for psychosis/agitation related to Alzheimer's dementia.
