Lotrel is a brand name for a combination of the drugs amlodipine besylate, a calcium channel blocker, and benazepril hydrochloride, an ACE inhibitor. Lotrel is considered a second or third line treatment for hypertension when other treatments have not worked. Lotrel is brand name owned by Novartis.
