What is Aspirin?

Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid or ASA) is used for mild to moderate pain, inflammation and fever. In lower doses it is an effective blood thinner and is used to prevent heart problems and stroke. Off label it is used to prevent pre-eclampsia and complications of some autoimmune disorders.
