Efavirenz is a nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). Efavirenz is an antiviral medication that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cells from multiplying in your body. It is generally used in combination with at least two other antiretroviral agents.
