Generic Name: Lamivudine-Zidovudine

What is Lamivudine-Zidovudine? The combination of lamivudine (Epivir) and zidovudine (AZT, ZDP) is used to treat HIV in patients with or without acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Lamivudine and zidovudine are in a class of antiviral medications called synthetic nucleoside analogues.

Advice/Tips
The first several weeks are hell for side effects, and expect the fatigue to remain with you for some time after starting Combivir. I stopped taking this med because of the side effects, and switched to Atripla, which would be the equivalent of switching this med in my regimen for Truvada. All the gastronomic side-effects, as well as the lethargy & fatigue, disappeared completely.
