Lorazepam Treatment Report

What is Lorazepam? Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine used in the treatment of anxiety disorders. It is used intravenously for status epilepticus. Off label it is used for alcohol detoxification; insomnia; partial complex seizures; agitation; and as an adjunct in antiemetic treatment.

Advice/Tips
My experience is that it takes the edge off of emotions. I am aware when I should have hightened emotions... i.e. marriage, birth of a baby, funerals, trauma... etc. I do feel the emotions but I dont believe that I am feeling them appropriately.

Advice/Tips
If a doctor ever suggests going on this drug...run the other way! Even after a few months on it...withdrawl is a nightmare. Don't even think of going cold turkey.
