What is Famotidine?

Famotidine is inhibits gastric secretions and is used as maintenance therapy and treatment of duodenal ulcer; treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, active benign gastric ulcer, and pathological hypersecretory conditions. OTC it is used for relief of heartburn, acid indigestion, and sour stomach.
