Burning and tight band feeling in torso and chest area (MS hug) Report

MS hug is a tightening feeling around the chest or abdomen; it can range from annoying pressure to extreme pain. The sensation itself is the result of the intercostal muscles between each rib going into spasm. Also referred to some as "banding" or a girdle-band sensation.
