What is Mucodyne?

Mucodyne is a name for the drug carbocysteine, a mucolytic agent, used to decrease excessive mucous production; may be used in acute or chronic bronchitis, rhinopharyngitis, tracheitis, acute or subacute laryngitis, otitis, and sinusitis. It is available in capsule or syrup formulations.
