What is Fampridine (4-AP immediate release)?

Fampridine, also known as by its chemical name 4-aminopyridine or 4-AP, a potassium channel blocker that is used to improve walking in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Fampridine is an immediate release formulation of 4-AP that is compounded by pharmacist.
