Reactive Airways Dysfunction Syndrome is a term used to describe an asthma-like syndrome that may be used to describe a history of coughing, wheezing or shortness of breath of unknown cause. It has also been associated with symptoms following exposure to certain irritants (vapor, fume, chemicals).
