What is VATER/VACTERL Syndrome?

VATER syndrome is a constellation of birth defects involving the vertebrae, anus, trachea, esophagus, and kidneys (renal) areas. It is also known as VACTERL syndrome which includes the above areas as well as cardiac and limb involvement.
