What is Neurosyphilis?
Neurosyphilis is a chronic, insidious inflammation in the brain that occurs in the teritary stage of untreated syphillis. It is characterized by psychosis, delirium, and dementia. Other nervous system changes may include vision problems, myelopathy (dysfunction of the spinal cord), and seizures.
