PaulWicks Paul Wicks, PhD	Research Scientist	I'm a research scientist here at PatientsLikeMe, and I'm currently based in London, England. That's me with my fiancee Emma! I'm a research neuropsychologist specialising in the emotional and cognitive effects neurological conditions can have; particularly ALS/MND and Parkinson's disease. In the past I've also been webmaster at another site for people affected by ALS/MND, called <A href=http://www.build-uk.net> BUILD</A>
bheywood Ben Heywood	Co-Founder, President	I am one of the founders of <a href="/about">PatientsLikeMe</a>. We started PatientsLikeMe to help patients learn from our family's experience after my brother Stephen was diagnosed with ALS. We hope you find the site useful - please let us know if you have any suggestions or improvements. Emma Emma Willey	Community Support	My background is in nursing, I specialised in palliative care after broad experience in areas of oncology, cardiac and general medical. I joined the ALS/MND team at King's College Hospital in 2000 and thoroughly enjoy the Coordinator role within the team. It is a varied role that brings together many different professionals to work together in supporting people living with ALS/MND. I look forward to meeting people through the site and learning what issues are important to individuals and the community as a whole. mmassagli Michael P. Massagli, PhD	Research Scientist	Michael P. Massagli, PhD (University of Wisconsin-Madison, Sociology, 1984) joined the PatientsLikeMe team in June 2007. I'm a sociologist and social statistician. My previous research has focused on survey methods and measurement of health outcomes and patient experience of care, looking, for example, at factors affecting the quality of survey data, employment experience and health-related quality of life of persons with AIDS, impact of trauma on mental health and physical functioning in refugee populations, and patient perceptions of health care quality.

My primary background is in information visualization - a very clever name for what most people call charts and graphs. I'm a geneticist, and my previous research has focused on discovering new genes for hypophosphatemic rickets and bone density. I am very interested in improving patient care, and think this is the perfect place to do it! I am so excited to be part of PatientsLikeMe, and am looking forward to meeting all of you.

JeanaFrost Jeana Frost, PhD	Research Scientist	I joined PatientsLikeMe as a researcher because of my commitment to helping people take control over their healthcare decisions and personal wellbeing. My background is in media and psychology. As a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab, I built tools for people with diabetes to document and discuss personal health practice that impacts health outcomes. After receiving my degree, I did a post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral sciences and technology at Boston Medical Center. I feel lucky to have found PatientsLikeMe, a group and effort so close to my heart and passion.
jdwyer Jeff Dwyer	Software Engineer	I'm a software engineer who loves finding ways to apply technology to solve problems. I have a background in aneurysm research and surgery planning tools. I've also spent a lot of time thinking about new ways to visualize and interact with information and I'm the author of Web 2.0 Application Development with GWT.
