What is Dantrolene?

Dantrolene is a muscle relaxant used to treat spasticity associated with upper motor neuron disorders; to prevent and treat malignant hyperthermia. Off label it is used for neuroleptic malignant syndrome, a life-threatening disorder most often caused by an adverse reaction to certain drugs.
