Generic Name: Botulinum Toxin Type A
Botulinum toxin or "Botox" for short is a protein released by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, and is the most poisonous naturally occurring substance in the world. Used medically, it can paralyze stiff muscles and is often used in the treatment of dystonia.
