What is Cholestyramine?

Cholestyramine is used in the management of primary hypercholesterolemia. It is also used for pruritus associated with elevated levels of bile acids; diarrhea associated with excess fecal bile acids; binding toxicologic agents; pseudomembraneous colitis.
