Generic Name: Glimepiride
Glimepride is a medium-to-long acting sulfonylurea anti-diabetic drug that is taken orally for Type II diabetes. It may be used in combination with metformin or insulin in patients whose hyperglycemia cannot be controlled by diet and exercise in conjunction with a single oral hypoglycemic agent.
