Genetic Counselor | Hi there! I am a genetic counselor and I work with Dr. Teepu Siddique at Northwestern University in Chicago. This is going to be my first winter in Chicago and I must say that I’m a little nervous! Anyway, I work in our ALS/MND clinics on Wednesdays and Thursday afternoons. I am usually in our lab and involved in the research at the Neuromuscular Disorders Program. In May 2008 I finished up a master's degree in health policy and management at the Harvard School of Public Health, and moved to Portland, OR to work at a large nonprofit health plan. I work on pilot programs that test new reimbursement models in health care. I still check in on the site to see what's happening with new features, new members, and new partnerships, and I'm always promoting PLM to anyone who'll listen. |
